BSP Aklan To Pay Insurance Benefits

A total sum of P72,328.80 will be paid to 28 members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Aklan Council representing January 2006 to June 30, 2007 claims. These payments represent some requests for financial assistance (MDR) and for natural deaths, according to Ms. Leila P. Leonida – Pamati-an, council scout executive of Aklan.
The amount of payment to each claimant ranges from P339.00 to P4,500. These claimants are members of the BSP from Numancia–4; Kalibo–6; Malay–2; Ibajay–3; Tangalan–2; Banga–3; Altavas–4; Malinao–1; Batan – 2; and Lezo – 1.
There are two claims for natural deaths which are of Benjie Maquirang of Ibajay East and of Alma B. De Juan of Linayasan Elementary School, Altavas, Aklan. According to Ms. Pamati-an, all members of the BSP is covered by insurance once they have registered and has fully paid the registration fee.These payments in checks will be personally delivered to the recipients in their respective schools. The BSP Aklan Council is now informing the recipients and the delivery of the checks are being arranged with their respective schools. /MP
