The local government of Numancia was awarded "Most Supportive LGU OTOP Implementer of Region VI. It is now a regional nominee to the National OTOP Awards scheduled in Manila sometime in November this year. The award was given on Sept. 25 during the 1st Regional OTOP Congress held in Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iloilo City.
The EI Templonuevo Earthworm Farm and the Numancia Vermicast Producers Multi-Purpose Cooperative are among the regional finalists.
The cash and certificate awards for LGU Numancia were received by a group of Numanciahanons lead by Mayor Elverita T. Templonuevo. With her are Vice Mayor Eangeline M. Ibabao, SB member Arcel S. Tabuena, Brenda G. Marte-OTOP coordinator, Alberto Edzel B. Sualog, former Mayor EI Templonuevo, Racel I. Gomez, Liberty R. Tapican, Jerome Vega, Leopoldo Sanchez, Jr. and Dr. Florencia F.
