Roxas City – On May 3, l95l the Office of the President of the Philippines.throughTeodoro Evangelista, Executive Secretary, issued Executive Order No. 438, dated May 3, l95l,fixing the date of organizing the government of the City of Roxas to May 12, l951.

Here’s the program of activities during the inauguration of the government of the Ciity of Roxas.

May 11, l95l – Fireworks at the city public plaza at 6:30 p.m. and Popular Ball at the Capiz Public Market at 8:00 p.m.

May 12, 195l - Diana at 4:00 a.m. and meeting the President and party at the Loctugan Airport at 9:00 a.m.

2. Invocation by Msgr. Vicente Gonzales

3. National Anthem – (In front of the City Bandstand)

4. Oath Taking of His Honor, Lorenzo A. Arnaldo, City Mayor, Arturo A. Jugo, Vice Mayor, city councilors and other city officials

5. Inaugural Address of His Honor, Lorenzo A. Arnaldo, City Mayor

6. Introduction of His Excellency, the President of the Philippines by Hon. Eduardo Abalos, Provincial Governor

7. Speech by His Excellency, the President of the Philippines

8. Lunch in Mrs. Thomas Ford’s place in Baybay

9. Conference by His Excellency, the President of the Philippines, with National, Provincial, City and Municipal Officials

10. Dinner offered by the Provincial Govern-ment and the City Mayor (by invitation)

11. Ball at the Social Hall of the Provincial
