An ASEAN Economic Integration Forum (AEIF) for global excellence will be held on Feb 28. It will be held at Carmen Hotel, Kalibo, Aklan sponsored by the Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC).
The forum, the first Visayan gathering on the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) will be participated in by educators, students, key leaders of various sectors, including officials of lead government agencies such as the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Trade and Industry. It will dwell on the “ASEAN Integration – its impact on education and economy”.
Lawyer Allen Salas Quimpo, former congressman for the lone district of Aklan , is currently NVC president. He said, the ASEAN forum is aimed to promote better understanding of ASEAN 2015 transition, raising the quality of education and to enhance competitiveness of the Filipinos.
The ASEAN economic integration conference is one of the highlights of the 66th founding anniversary celebration of the NVC, a leading educational institution in the Visayas. /MP
