Let’s Fiesta opens the month of February with a trip to one of today’s New Seven Wonder Cities of the World—the Heritage City of Vigan in Ilocos Sur!
Join host and comedian John Feir together with Kapuso homegrown artist Steven Silva as they discover why this small yet historical city is deserving of such accolade.
In this Sunday’s episode, John and Steven first witness the Bigueño’s festive and colorful celebration of the 12th Longganisa Festival that coincides with the feast of St. Paul the Apostle, Vigan’s patron saint.
Get transported back in time to the sights of horse drawn carriages and antique ancestral houses as John and Steven tour along the cobble stoned street of Calle Crisologo.
The duo also learns how to make the famous Ilocos empanada and at the same time gets to taste Ilocano delicacies such as bagnet, royal bibingka, chicharon, sinanglaw, and various longganisa dishes.
