Kalibo Officials To Showcase Athletic and Mental Skills

One of the biggest events and notably lauded by the Civil Service Commission–Aklan for its sustainability is the weeklong Kalibo Municipal Officials and Employees Sportsfest. This will be held on September 18-22, 2006 at the Magsaysay Park fronting the municipal hall, Kalibo, Aklan.
During this yearly event, people will witness their elected officials like Mayor Raymar A. Rebaldo and municipal employees engaging in fun-filled activities from basketball to badminton, and chess and quiz bee for those who want to engage in the battle of the brains.
The day-to-day operation of LGU-Kalibo will be as usual since the scheduled games start only at 4:00 PM while a skeletal workforce is available during the opening ceremony of the sportsfest on September 18.
On its 12th year, the sportsfest has been providing an avenue of relief from stress for officials and employees as LGU-Kalibo looks after the mental and physical health of its civil servants.

CSC Recognizes Kalibo Mayor Raymar A. Rebaldo

Mayor Raymar A. Rebaldo is no stranger to awards, but being innovative, he was once again given recognition in line with the 106th Anniversary of the Civil Service on September 14, 2006 at the Sampaguita Garden Resort, New Washington, Aklan. Emmie was one of the 11 awardees.
Mayor Rebaldo is one of the semi-finalists for the nationwide Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees CSC Pagasa Award along with fellow Aklanon Emmie Macogue Cawaling from DILG-Aklan.
The 106th anniversary celebration also featured the "Forum on Challenges of Public Service Excellence" tackling the exemplary performance and outstanding accomplishments of the semi-finalists of said search.
This new recognition reflects not just the accomplishments of Mayor Rebaldo but of the hard work of the municipal employees of LGU-Kalibo and the continuing participation and cooperation of the various civil societies and the Kalibonhons. /MP
