Risk Reduction Response Tools

In partnership with the Finnish Red Cross, the Philippines Red Cross (PRC), Aklan Chapter launched the “School Based Disaster Risk Reduction Project 2014-2015”. It also awarded response equipment and formally introduced its scheme, reported its accomplishment and logged frame among stake holders and partners.

The launching program and awards ceremonies were held at Hernani’s Mix’n Macth, L. Barrios St., Kalibo, Aklan.

Atty. Ronquillo C. Tolentino – Chairman, Board of Directors, PRC Aklan chapter, Dr. Jesse M. Gomez – Aklan Schools Division Supt., and Ms. Toni Jokinen – Finnish Red Cross delivered their respective messages during the program.

Ms. Laurence T. Cadunggan presented the school project activities and accomplishment.

The recipients of the School Based Disaster Risk Reduction Project equipment are the project areas as follows: a) Mobo Elementary School, Bakhaw Norte Elementary School, Buswang Old – Bakhaw Sur Elementary School, and Tinigao Elementary School, Kalibo; b) Bulwang Elementary School, and Aliputos Elementary School, Numancia; c) Panayakan Elementary School, and Jawili Integrated School, Tangalan; and d) Laguinbanwa Elementary School, and Ibajay Central School, Ibajay./MP
