Rice To Kalibonhons

The Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture donated 5.7 metric tons of rice to the Municipality of Kalibo. The rice was repacked in ten kilo bags and were distributed last week through the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR). The distribution was led by Kalibo mayor William S. Lachica with the presence of Mr. Wiroj Saengbangka - APTERR General manager, Mr. Nitthi Attayothin and Ms. Jansinee Kankaew - APTERR Technical Staff members.
The rice was distributed to the victims of the super typhoon Yolanda of barangays Andagao, Nalook, Tinigao, Mabilo, Tigayon, New Buswang, Old Buswang, Pook, and Poblacion, Kalibo. Some of the receipients are also 4P’s beneficiaries.
The distribution was held at Magsaysay Park, Poblacion, Kalibo last week./MP
