SP Commends Two Aklanon

In separate resolutions the Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed very lately, commended two (2) outstanding government employees who are National Awardees very recently. One is in the police service and another is in the agricultural extension service. They are highly commended by the Aklan provincial legislative body. 

In Resolution No. 184, S. 2014, enacted during the 28th Regular Session on August 20, 2014, Aklan SP commended and congratulated PO3 Michael Dalisay Pontoy who landed on top of the Search for Ten Outstanding Policemen, Non-Commissioned Officers category in the recently concluded Search for the Country’s Outstanding Police Officers in the Service (COPS) held on August 11, 2014 sponsored by the MetroBank Foundation Inc., Rotary Club of New Manila East and PS Bank.

In Resolution No. 191, S. 2014, Aklan SP approved during its 29th Regular Session on August 27, 2014, commended and congratulated Alicia Bernal Rebuelta, Agricultural Technologist under the Municipal Economic Enterprise of the Local Government Unit of Kalibo who ranked 8th place for the 2014 Outstanding Public Officials and Employees or the “Dangal ng Bayan Award” of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) per Memorandum Circular No. 17, series 2014.

PO3 Pontoy, is a native of Ibajay, Aklan, the eldest among nine (9) siblings. He rose from poverty and stood as the sole provider for his entire family at Barangay Antipolo, Ibajay, Aklan. He finished his elementary grades at the Antipolo Primary School and Ondoy Elementary School, and his high school at Ondoy National High School. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Office Administration at the Garcia College of Technology, a provincial scholar of the Province of Aklan.
PO3 Pontoy has nine (9) civil service eligibilities, countless awards and citations. He has a shared vision of government service that goes beyond his personal and family boundaries. He was also conferred Outstanding Criminologist Award by the Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines in 2013.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan said PO3 Pontoy brought exceptional honor not only to the Province of Aklan and her people but also to the entire police organization of the country.
Ms. Alicia B. Rebuelta is a native of Malinao, Aklan. She is a former secondary school teacher before working as Agricultural Technologist in the Municipal Economic Enterprise of LGU Kalibo.
Ms. Rebuelta finished her elementary education at Lilo-an Elementary School and Lilo-an Barangay High School in her secondary education. She finished Bachelor of Science in Agrirulture and has taken up Master of Science in Agricultural Education at the then Aklan Agricultural College now the Aklan State University.

The 16th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the Provincial Government of Aklan believes that the achievement of Ms. Rebuelta in the field of Civil Service brings honor to all Aklanons especially to the work force of all Local Government Units in the Province of Aklan in line with the mandate of a genuine public servant. /MP
