The Libacao National Forestry Vocational High School Youth for Environment in Schools’ Organization (YES-O) held a clean-up drive activity at Poblacion, Libacao, Aklan on January 31, 2015 in support to the implementation of Republic Act (RA) 9512 entitled Environmental Awareness and Education Act.
Students and the Yes-O advisers participated well and cleaned the streets. The hour long clean up yielded more than 40 jumbo sacks of waste. The waste was segregated into plastic and non-plastic waste. Every street left the waste bags at the beginning of the street to be picked up by Libacao garbage truck.
The clean up drive activity aimed to help the environment become a better place for everyone. /MP
