For the first time ever, a Trade and Tourism Mission to the Philippines was conducted headed by Hon. Catherine Nora E. Muñoz and Hon. Bob Herron, representatives of the State Legislature of Alaska, USA. They were accompanied by Honorary Consul General of the Philippines for Alaska Jenny Gomez Strickler who is also president of the Juneau - Filipino community Inc.; Ms. Vicky Roldan - In-Country Coordinator; and Deborah Gomez - Photographer. They were in Aklan for 4 days, November 15 to 19. In Aklan, they visited important business lines and tourist attractions in Kalibo, Banga, Balete, and Malay specifically in the Boracay Island Resort. /MP
