Sen. Edgardo Angara, who filed Senate Bill 61, otherwise known as upgrading the minimum salary grade of public school teachers, said the proposed measure is designed to upgrade the salary grade level of teachers from Salary Grade 11 to 19, nearly doubling their current monthly base pay from P18,549 to P33,859.
