5-day Junket
Picture speaks a thousand words. These pictures below were taken during my 5-day junket to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I hope my beloved readers can give meanings to these pictures and relate it to the condition in the Philippines, particularly Aklan such as in ecology and governance.
Airport arrival - we were welcomed at Changi International Airport, Singapore by our relatives who are Ferdie & Fernette Ubanos and their son-Felbert, Pepe F. Santos welcomed his mother Dolores Feliciano Santos with Bebot.
A street in Singapore, note the green trees growing by the roadsides which are maintained following the art and science of tree growing. Note the absence of policemen, no billboards, and other traffic obstructions.
It takes 5-6 hours travel between Singapore to Kuala Lumpur via the world class highway passing rolling lands. Note the soil erosion prevention method such as terracing. The stairs like structure is actually a drainage canal with steps to prevent strong current during heavy rain. This minimizes soil erosion and landslide.
Approaching Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with condominiums each one can house the number of people equivalent to the population living in C. Laserna, Kalibo.
For those who wish to learn the science of ornithology, Jurong Bird Park is the best place to go in Singapore. All kinds of birds like peacocks, owls, parrots, eagles, ostrich and others are available in this park. Note the trees and other necessary environment for birds are available in the park. Take note of the monorail which carries park enthusiasts who like to view the whole park in a short time without too much walking. Rencee is resting on the bench. /MP
