NVC/CNEST of Korea Sign
Joint Project Agreement
In order to train students and professionals on
English business and communication skills, to strengthen their capabilities and
opportunities, the Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC) Kalibo, Aklan, and CNEST
Alliance, Inc. (CNEST), Republic of Korea agreed to provide quality education,
both in the formal and non-formal
systems. These include teaching of English language to all learners who aim to
improve their proficiency of international standard.
NVC is represented by its President Dr. Allen S. Quimpo,
while CNEST is represented by Mr. Dongho Hong, Chief Executive Officer in MOA
signing. In a memorandum of Agreement (MOA), NVC and CNEST agreed to promote
English education for Korean nationals who will be exclusively recruited using
CNEST curriculum.
Specifically, CNEST will be the exclusive proxy of NVC
to register Koreans who will avail of the program; recruit and send English
learners to participate in the English Language of NVC; pay the related
expenses of the students; monitor program implementation, conduct program evaluation, and give recommendation
for improvement.
On the other hand, NVC will adopt
appropriate curriculum and learning program; provide board, lodging, and
transportation services of the students; arrange schedule and management services;
provide facilities, qualified teachers and manpower needs of the program; and
issues certificates of training and recognition for the valuable services by
the students.
The MOA is effective to cover only
for the first program which will be subject to amendment, revision, and renewal
at the end of the first program cycle. It was duly signed on Tuesday afternoon,
August 4, 2015 at RSQ Bldg., NVC, Capitol Site, Kalibo, Aklan.
The Memorandum of Agreement is
effective immediately. /MP
