NVC Host Korean Graduate Students

The Northwestern Visayan Colleges is the host of three South Korean students from Chung Ang University, Seoul. The trio who are graduate school students in International Studies arrived in Kalibo, Aklan on Wednesday, July 1. They will stay in Aklan until July 27, when they will depart on July 27 for South Korea. Executive Dean Erlinda Q. Fernandez-Wilson, NVC Masscom students, and NVC staff members welcomed them in Kalibo International Airport on their arrival.

Seong Beom Lee, 28 is studying International Service on Global Affairs and Trade. He has traveled to the United States, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Seong has worked in Chicago, Illinois as sales clerk in wholesale business. He has also worked in the law office in Korea.

Tae Hwan Yang, 29 is a student in international service on Global Business and Finance. He has traveled in the United States and is skillful in Microsoft office suite.

Su-jin Choi, 28 is a graduate school student of international service on Global Affairs and Trade. She has worked with clothing company in Seoul.
Su-jin is also skillful in Microsoft office suite. She traveled in Europe and Hong Kong in 2002 and Japan just this year.

The three will be in Aklan to further improve their English speaking skill and comprehension; study Aklanon culture, customs and tradition. According to NVC Executive Dean ErlindaQuimpo Fernandez-Wilson, these three students will stay in Kalibo and in Boracay Island resorts.

Asked what is the secret of South Korea in her fast progress and development the three scholars were unanimous in their responses: "Hard work unquestionable honesty and utmost diligence" the people and public officials are doing. /MP
