The town of Kalibo, Aklan paid tribute to its ten outstanding municipal employees for their outstanding performance and exemplary services.
The awarding ceremony coincided with the commemoration of the 110th death anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal held at the Kalibo Pastrana Park in the morning of Saturday, December 30, 2006.
Mayor Raymar A. Rebaldo, chairperson of Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence/Search committee, has challenged the government employees to respond to the call of genuine civil service and to continue espousing the ideals of public service in his message during the program.
Rebaldo and vice mayor Nilda Tambong awarded Amalia Andrade (Budget Office), Mercelita Arriola (Municipal Planning and Development Office), Aina Belarmino (Office of the Mayor), Lilian Curioso (Rural Health Unit), Jobert Martelino (Accounting Office), Ramon Iturralde (Department of Agriculture), Risany Laurente (Human Resource Management Office), Erna Macavinta (Office of the Sangguniang Bayan), Nester Anne Templonuevo (Kalibo Tourism Office) and Medette Viray (Budget Office) as the outstanding municipal employees. They were selected out of 21 nominees for the award.
"The awards bestowed to government employees is a testament for their efficiency and effectiveness worthy of emulation by their peers," the town mayor added.
Elpidio Arellano, Dulce Pempe Besario, John Peter Madula and Rostum Soliman III were recognized as the most effective service providers. They were selected out of 7 nominees.
Alberto Atos, Alex Malazarte, Jimmy Moises and Ernesto Tolentino were awarded as outstanding Municipal Auxiliary Police (MAP).
Dr. Agrelita Fernandez, Serina Gonzales and Dominador Suante – who retired after having spent the most productive years of their lives in government service with dignity and integrity were honored with awards of recognition. /MPmailto:madyaas_pen@yahoo.com
