Ka-Tribu Radyo Broadcasters Conducts Info-Drive on Natural Family Planning

Broadcasters from the only radio station ran by a local government in the Visayas, CBIS Ka-Tribu Radyo conducted Information Drive on Natural Family Planning at the Kalibo Public Market and parts of C. Laserna Street last month.

The info drive was in line with Ka-Tribu Radyo’s advocacy on Responsible Parenthood and Natural Family Planning where copies of pamphlets were distributed along with the Solid Waste Management flyers.

Ka-Tribu Radyo’s advocacy program is based on the population survey in 2007 which placed the population of the Philippines close to 88 million. According to Aklan Provincial Population Officer Art Teodosio, the Philippines is the 12th most populous nation in the world.

Teodosio revealed that studies conducted by demography experts in the University of the Philippines, Diliman showed that the country’s carrying capacity or the country’s capacity to sustain itself through resources is only at 142 million people. Beyond that means the break down of basic services./MP
