Aklan’s unique indigenous fibers like abaca, piña, and raffia cloths and crafts; gifts, house wares, and furnishings; and the newly developed products and labeling designs on processed food will be highlighted in this 2009 Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Product Showcase. This will open on 12 January at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Pastrana Park. The exhibit will run for the period 12 – 19 January from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
Some forty (40) micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) representing industry sectors (such as crafts, food and garden) will be participating.
This marketing event is organized and coordinated by the Municipal Government of Kalibo, through the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Management Board, the Provincial Government of Aklan, Department of Trade and Industry, and Hugod Aklanon Products Association, Inc.
This annual marketing event started in 1989. It is now one of the attractions of the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Festival. /MP
