Matt Monro Jr., and Rotary Club of Kalibo President Megs Lunn
in a motorcade around Kalibo.

Matt Monro Jr., the son of the famous singer of his namesake who popularized the songs like "From Russia with Love," "Yesterday," "Born Free," "Walk Away," and many other hits visited Kalibo on March 18 to promote his forthcoming concert at the ABL Sports Complex, Estancia, Kalibo this April 18, 2009 dubbed: Matt Sings Monro.

The concert will be conducted for "a cause" and it will benefit the Stimulation Therapeutic and Activity Center (STAC) that accommodates and conducts therapies for the differently-abled children to make them adjust normally in dealing with other children of normal abilities.

Monro, in an interview with LGU-Kalibo’s Ka-Tribu Radyo, expressed his deep concern on the welfare of the differently-abled children. He lauded Mayor Raymar Rebaldo as the Municipality of Kalibo manages STAC that serves differently-abled children in Kalibo as far as those provinces of Antique and Capiz.

Mayor Rebaldo exhorts everyone to attend the forthcoming benefit concert because it will not only help the differently-abled children but to enjoy listening to the songs popularized by his father and the songs Monro, Jr. himself popularized. /MP
