Philhealth, DOLE and TESDA–Aklan Sign Partnership With PNP Stations


The Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) agreed with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Aklan, Philhealth and TESDA to conduct beneficial project for the out-of-school youth and disadvantaged workers in the Province of Aklan.

A memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed among the three government agencies and three municipal police stations of Madalag, Libacao and Balete in the presence of their respective heads. The signing ceremony was held on March 2, 2009 at Aklan PPO Multi-Purpose Building, Camp Pastor Martelino, Kalibo, Aklan.

The MOA will provide meaning and fulfillment of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating disadvantaged workers (TUPAD) and out-of school youth identified by the local government units of the three municipalities.

In the agreement, TESDA will provide trainings and education to the target beneficiaries; Phil-health will provide big discounts, DOLE jobs to disadvantaged workers and out-of school youth. The PNP will identify, recruit and give briefings to identified beneficiaries of TUPAD following the template of PULIS OYSTER and monitoring of the project in their respective area of respon-sibility (AOR).
