The Municipality of Kalibo led by Mayor Raymar Rebaldo joins the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in its 75th Diamond Anniversary on September 6, 2009.
The opening program was held at Magsaysay Park near the Niñolitos Day Care Center where it was followed by young children from the less-privileged communities in Brgy. Poblacion. They got a nutritious fill of "Lugaw" or Risotto with eggs, veggies and other spices.
The feeding program also took place at Brgys. Mabilo, Caano and Pook where hundreds of children from less privileged families grinning with contentment.
The two Rural Health Units of Kalibo led by Dr. Melanie Tolentino and Dr. Jocelyn Garcia received patients as early as 7:00 AM even though they waited for the medicines that got delayed due to bad weather as late as 2:00 AM the following day.
The Medical Mission and Feeding Program were parts of the nationwide synchronized event held in partnership with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office in celebration of its 75th Diamond Anniversary. /MP
