Lolita Rubio Retome of Bulabud, Malinao, Aklan is elected President of the Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC) Alumni Malinao Chapter in an organizational meeting last month held in Bulabud Brgy. Hall, Malinao.
Retome finished her BSED degree in NVC in 1967. She is now a retired teacher.
Before the election, Elma M. Jera, Alumni Coordinator briefed the Alumni of the plan, programs, and activities on the coming Reunion on January 12-13, 2009. The following are elected officers of the NVC Alumni Malinao Chapter.
Elected with Ms. Retome are Brgy. Capt. Danio Arcenio –Vice Pres.; Hedson Recudo – Secretary; Myrna Merencilla Abelarde –Treasurer; and Mrs. Fatima Rose–P.R.O. The Board of Directors are Lolita Inisa, Lorna Villanueva; Florita Idolog; Cleotildo Rubio, and Maribel Aguil.
Retome appealed to all NVCian Alumni of Malinao to lead in the participation and to reach out to other alumni. /MP
