A house made of light materials located in interior C. Quimpo St., Poblacion, Kalibo in early morning fire on Thursday, July 15 went with the smoke.
The house is owned by Lachica family composed of nine adults and children. The Kalibo firemen are still investigating the cause of the fire.
The house was made of light materials like nipa, bamboo, wood, lawanit, and sawali. It was totally burned in about 20 minutes as the fire was so fast.
Nobody was hurt during the fire. But the family was not able to save their personal belongings. The total lost is still undetermined. But it will not reach P300,000.00.
The Kalibo fire fighters experienced difficulties in going to the fire scene as it is in the interior of C. Quimpo St. Moreover, there is no fire hydrant nearby. /MP
