GMA Network Bares Festive
Events In Ati-Atihan 2015
A star-studded celebration of Kalibo, Aklan’s biggest festival happens next week as GMA Network brings in some of the Kapuso prime stars to rev up the Ati-Atihan, which is also known as the “Mother of All Philippine Festivals.”
For the fifth consecutive year, GMA Network joins the Municipality of Kalibo and Kalibo’s Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc. in mounting an all-party and all-positive vibe gala for the enjoyment of the Aklanons and visitors.
The Kapuso festival celebration will officially begin on January 9 with the 2015 Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan beauty pageant to be held at the ABL Auditorium. Present during the said contest will be Hiram na Alaala’s Kris Bernal who will serve as one of the judges, Second Chances’ Chynna Ortaleza who will act as event host, and actor Mike Tan, who, in turn will serenade the contestants.
Meanwhile, no less than Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid showcases her trademark vocals in a Kapuso Night to be held at the Kalibo Pastrana Park on January 13 at 7PM. Joining her in an unforgettable live performance are Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali, and Betong Sumaya, stars of the Network’s newly launched primetime series Once Upon A Kiss.
On January 14, Aklanon fans of Kapuso heartthrobs Alden Richards, Steven Silva, and Rocco Nacino finally get a chance to meet their idols via the actors’ participation in the Ati-Atihan parade together with the Mutya it Kalibo winners beginning at 2 pm.

The highlights of the Network’s participation in the Ati-Atihan Festival will be seen in Let’s Fiesta TV Special, which airs on January 18 via the Network’s regional stations in Bicol, Cebu, Davao , Iloilo , Dagupan, Ilocos, GenSan, Bacolod , and CDO. /MP
