The Rover Peace Baton Relay of the Asia Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scouting Movement was delivered to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Oriental Mindoro Council on February 20, 2007. Dr. Ambrosio R. Villorente and Mrs. Leila L. Pamati-an of the BSP, Aklan Council headed the BSP Aklan Council to Mindoro relay. Mr. Samuel G. Fajutagara - District Scout Commissioner and Mr. Rodelio V. Villena, Council Scout Executive of Oriental Mindoro received the Rover Peace Baton. The Rover Peace Baton Relay provides opportunity to young people to understand their roles in creating a better world and to generate positive image of scouting and visibility to the society. The baton signifies love for peace, passed on from one place to another.
The delegation from Aklan was welcomed at the Dangay, Roxas pier upon their arrival. After which, a parade was held from Dangay Port to Roxas town plaza where the hand over ceremony was held. /MP
