In Pursuit of Their Dreams

three remaining finalists—Daryl Lagos, Qwyncy Siclot, and Ava Jugueta

There is no doubt that we have a lot of talented young people in the country who dream of becoming the next superstars of their generation.
But surely, it is not easy for a newcomer to penetrate the local music industry, where dozens have already established a name for themselves. It must be nerve-racking to merely think of breaking into this crowded field. Therefore, only the determined, the dreamer, and the most talented stands a chance to shine above the rest.
Among the thousands who auditioned in Coca-Cola’s Ride to Fame: Yes to your Dreams!, only three talented fame-seekers and dream-catchers are left. The Coca-Cola’s Ride to Fame finalists are all prepared to battle it out and reach the summit of fame and success.
A few months ago, they were still nameless and anonymous. But thanks to Coca-Cola and GMA 7, the three remaining finalists—Daryl Lagos, Qwyncy Siclot, and Ava Jugueta—are now familiar names and faces through the top-rating talent search. More than just producing a superstar-bombarded-by-shrieking-fans icon, the show is all about showcasing the talents of these young contestants and grooming them as the next famous all-around performer (singer, dancer and songwriter).
The stage is already set for the show’s finale on October 28, 2007, and all three finalists are ready to belt out their hearts and voices, to keep them alive in the remaining episodes of the contest. In the end, only one will be hailed as the total performer from among the three and will be saying “yes” to his/her dreams, with a million-peso cash prize to boot.
“The show will be more challenging and intense,” says Coca-Cola Ride to Fame host Drew Arellano. His equally famed co-host, Karel Marquez, adds, “since only a few are left, we’ll be able to see more of their talents.”
Daryl, Qwyncy, and Ava have had their share of facing struggles and obstacles during the competition. But, they have all considered these challenges as part of growing and learning to become better persons and artists.
Watch Coca-Cola’s Ride to Fame: Yes to your Dreams! every Sunday, after SOP on GMA 7 and see who will be crowned the next music sensation. /MP
