The Town Hall of Madalag was inaugurated and blessed last week. The construction of the building cost P8.5 million, P7 million of which was a loan from the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).
The inauguration started with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Arnaldo Crisostomo at the Nstra. Sra. De Guadalupe Parish Church, Poblacion, Madalag. The ribbon cutting and unveiling of the marker were led by Gov. Carlito S. Marquez, Congressman Florencio T. Miraflores, Serafin G. Gotico, Jr. of the LBP Mayor Rex T. Gubatina, vice mayor Orlando R. Inosanto and members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Madalag.

Marquez also announced the P10 million he allocated out of the provincial budget for Guadalupe bridge so that farmers can transport their agricultural products at lesser distance, time and cost and will arrive in the market in high quality.Madalag is the second LGU in Aklan to borrow money from the LBP. According to Gotico, LBP representative, Mayor Gubatina has full of guts and no fear of borrowing money for a noble purpose.
