Capiz Clergy Hosts Outreach Medical Services

The clergies from the Immaculate Conception Metropolitan Cathedral in Roxas City sponsored a two-day midical mission in coordination with  volunteer doctors from Metro Manila. It was held at the 3rd floor, Cathedral Rectory on October 2l – 22.

Rev. Fr. Job Bolivar, Cathedral Rector, said the volunteer doctors  are Dr. Jun Mirasol, Dra. Sylvia Laura Mirasol, Dra. Amelita Mirasol and Francis Martin Mirasol and their staff. They are opthalmologists and EENT specialists who checked, diagnosed and treated hundreds of parishioner-patients of various EENT ailments and correction of eye glasses.

Among them were Most Rev. Father Onesimo C. Gordoncillo, D.D., archbishop of Capiz for eyes vision checkup diagnosed and treated by Dr. Jun Mirasol who came from Iloilo City. Many other priests were examined by the doctors.

Several elderly patient were grateful and thankful for the coming in Roxas City of the physicians to treat our eyes. If we visit doctors in Roxas City hospital, it would cost us a lot which we could not afford.

This writer assisted in disseminating the visit in Roxas City of the volunteer doctors. He is a lector-narrator at the Metropolitan Cathedral and the District Deputy V-l38 of the Knights of Columbus.

Fr. Bolivar conveyed his thanks to the doctors for their  medical services extended to the parishioners in Roxas City. /MP
