Aklan Provincial Health Board Wins Honor


The Aklan Provincial Health Board chaired by Governor Carlito S. Marquez got the Most Outstanding Provincial Health Board. The award was given by the Center For Health Development- Western Visayas during the 2006 Regional Awarding For Stakeholders And Partners held on December 12, 2006, Sugarland Hotel, Bacolod City.
The other awards given are: The Outstanding Municipal Health Boards won by the towns of BURUANGA, IBAJAY, LIBACAO, MALAY, NABAS and TANGALAN.
The Southwestern Aklan ILHZ-I-B (Makato, Malinao, Lezo, Madalag) and Northwestern Aklan ILHZ (Tangalan, Nabas, Malay, Buruanga) are awarded the Outstanding Interlocal Health Zone. The Newborn Screening Awardee is Aklan Cooperative Mission Hospital and the Healthy Place Awardee is Caticlan Jetty Port Declared As Healthy Port (Provincial Winner). The Sentrong Sigla is Nabas Rural Health Unit declared as Sentrong Sigla Phase II Certified. /MPmailto:madyaas_pen@yahoo.com
