DYMT Radio Airs Pinoy Technopreneur Program


The DYMT FM Community Radio, ASU, Banga, Aklan will air the latest School On the Air Program of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in cooperation with the Leading Entrepreneurs Toward Sensing Global Opportunities (LETS GO) and the Aklan State University.
The Pinoy Technopreneur School On the Air (SOA) will be aired every Monday, starting November 27, 2006, from 10:00 to 11:00 in the morning.
According to the DYMT Station Manger, Dr. Anna Mae C. Relingo, there is an initial enrollment of college students who are presently taking entrepreneur subjects in the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences (CAFES), Department of Extension and Socio Economics.
Prior to the launching of the said project, the DYMT radio program coordinator, Ms. Salvacion Villasis attended the orientation for Radio Teachers on November 10, 2006 at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Pasay City.
According to Ms. Villasis, the ASU is one of the eleven academic institutions chosen to implement the project, which was created to provide channel to transfer technology and develop future Pinoy entrepreneurs.
The ASU created a Project Implementing Team composed of CAFES faculty members with Dr. Cecile O. Legaspi as Team Leader and Professors Reorita V. Rebustes, Arlette U. Portaje, and Margie Y. Sumanga as members.
The Project Implementing Team will assist the SOA students during the one-hour program and in answering the worksheets to be provided.
The project is funded by UNESCO-Jakarta and the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (TAPI-DOST).
The course contains 10 modules developed by experts from the Asian Institute of Management and the Leading Entrepreneurs Toward Sensing Global Opportunities (LETS GO).
The modules are about Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Self Mastery, Enterprise Mastery, Situation Mastery, Starting the Enterprise, Passion, Skills/Technology Delivery, Market, Seizing the Opportunity and Resource Generation. /MPmailto:madyaas_pen@yahoo.com
