ACI Alumni Plans Golden Homecoming

The Aklan Central Institute (ACI) graduates, Class 1961 and 1964 are planning to hold their respective Golden Alumni Homecoming at ACI campus, Poblacion, Makato, Aklan. Batch 1964 plans to hold it on May 11, 2014.

Some sixty (60) alumni, all successful in their respective fields of endeavors, are supportive to hold GAH with the theme "Cherish our Beloved Alma Mater for a Progressive Community". They strongly approved the program to promote their beloved ACI by maintaining it as "The Pride of Makato" being one of the oldest educational institutions in Aklan which is producing alumni of high "caliber in different fields".

Batch 1961 valedictorian, former Ms. Raly E. Tonel in close coordination with Atty. Richard T. Tumanon, is organizing abroad their homecoming to be a most memorable event. She is communicating with former Ms. Eleanor T. Tello of Aklan State University (ASU) in Calangcang, Makato, Aklan concerning the preparation of their homecoming.

Working committees for various activities are created for the affair with active members chaired by Dr. Eleanor Tello Mationg, Ph.D, a home based alumnus.

On the other hand, ACI Batch 1964, Engr. Wilma Trieste Barrameda is actively coordinating their preparation. She communicates with her former classmates abroad and in the Philippines, such as with Ms. Wenefreda Tajolosa Gregorio, and Ms. Lucera Turay Coa. Their exchanges of information keep them informed of the development of their plan. Mrs. Lourdes Villanueva Tesoro, a home based alumnus who works with Makato Integrated School is coordinating the planning in Aklan. Barrameda and Coa will arrive in Makato this April to attend meetings concerning the Alumni Homecoming plan.

Both Batches 1961 and 1964 will decide on their proposed project for ACI. They will consult with Mr. Jose T. Mationg, their dear instructor who has greatly influenced their lives. /MP
