The PRC Aklan Chapter held its 28th Biennial Assembly on Saturday, September 8 at APSTA Center, Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan with Ms. Corazon Alma De Leon as keynote speaker .
Ms. De Leon was the former PRC Secretary General, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, and Secretary of DSWD. She is now member of the Board of Regent of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Among the highlights of the assembly were the 2010 - 2011 Chapter Accomplishment Report of the PRC chairman, Atty. Ronquillo C. Tolentino, the financial report of the Treasurer.
In the afternoon, election of seven members of the Board of Directors was held which elected the following: Atty. Ronquillo C. Tolentino, Atty. Plaridel Morania, Dr. Ambrosio R. Villorente, Hon. Bayani Cordova, Hon. Soviet Russia Dela Cruz, Hon. Daisy S. Briones, and Hon. Nilda T. Tambong.
The blood donors were also given galloner award who are: Emma R. Tinagan, Erwin Earl O. Mationg, Henry B. Cuanico, Margeline Dela Rosa, Ryan C. Magallanes, Reynold Bautista, Rudy Rimano, Lydwin Cortes, and silver medal for Lydwin Cortes.
Certificate of Appreciation was also given to the organization as follows: Ganap Guardian, 12th IB, NVC College of Criminology, AKELCO, RMN-DYKR, Municipality of Kalibo, ASU-New Washington.
Diploma of Service was given to Municipality of Tangalan, MKWD, and Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa.
