Dr. Jesse M. Gomez, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent stressed the importance of Brigada Eskwela and the key points to beautify the schools.
“Brigada Eskwela is being held to prepare the schools and be ready for the opening of classes on June 3, 2013,” said Dr. Gomez.
The kickoff activities were held at Kalibo Pilot Elementary School attended by the DepEd Division of Aklan headed by Dr. Gomez and the ever supportive stakeholder LGU Kalibo with Vice Mayor Madeline A. Regalado.
“Brigada is held to test our bayanihan spirit,” said Hon. Regalado who pledged a 100 percent LGU support and assistance.
Also present during the kickoff are Kalibo Districts I and II schools administrators, teachers, medical unit, PTA officers, volunteers, students and LGU who joined hand-in-hand in a weeklong beautification and preparation of all schools in Kalibo.
This year’s kickoff activity was spearheaded by the District of Kalibo I under the supervision of the District, Principal IV Lydia I. Fernandez. /MP
