SFI Scholar Passes LEA



"Poverty is really not a hindrance to success. When a person is determined to achieve his/her goal in life, he/she can achieve it as long as he/she works for it, and seeks God’s help in things he/she does," Dinabeth J. Onayan believes.



A scholar-graduate of the Syngenta Foundation, Inc. (SFI), Dinabeth passed the Licensure Examination for Agriculturist (LEA) given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Iloilo City on July 2011.


She is a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Agricultural Economics graduate of Aklan State University (ASU) last April 2011.



She received Syngenta Foundation. Inc. Scholarship for School Years 2007-2008 up to 2010-2011.


As SFI scholar she served as President of Farmer Leaders of the Philippines sub-chapter for three years from SY 2008-2009 to SY 2010-2011 and in a Dean’s List for 2nd sem. SY 2009-2010 and 1st sem. of SY 2010-2011.


Dinabeth is the daughter of the spouses, Bert and Dina Onayan of Brgy. Lupo, Altavas, Aklan.


She graduated salutatorian among the year 2002 graduates of Lupo Elementary School. She finished her secondary education at Altavas National High School in 2006.



"I am really grateful for the support given me by SFI, ASU, my family and the Legaspi family in my pursuit for a better future," said Dinabeth.


She is among the seven graduates from ASU who passed the 2011 LEA namely, John Raymar R. Perez, Galileo E. Nacionales, Judy A. Gonzales, Liela A. Rosbero, Emmanuel G. Masola and Reynold O. Delgado (by S.R. Villasis)
