South Cotabato Legislative Staff Visits Aklan SP

The legislative Staff of South Cotabato, led by its Division Heads and Section Chiefs visited the Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan Office on Friday, August 26, 2011. The visit was one of their five-day study tour destinations which brought them to different Legislative offices of Cebu, Bohol and Aklan provinces.


The group conducted research on the best practices of every legislative office and matters related to legislation as their reference in crafting their legislative measures.


Mr. Odon S Bandiola, Secretary to the Sanggunian of Aklan in behalf of Vice Governor Gabrielle V. Calizo-Quimpo who was in Metro Manila briefed the visitors and answered some questions they asked about the legislative process and performance of the Province of Aklan.


Meanwhile, Asian tourists dominated the arrival figures in Boracay Island. Last year, the tourists arrivals are as follows: Koreans–95,711, Taiwanese–53,189, Chinese–37,266, Hong Kong nationals–7396, Japanese–5,249, Australian–7,089, Americans–14,758, United Kingdom–6,504, Russian–5,989, and German–5,062. /MP
