RC Kalibo Awards KAP

In line with the celebration of the Vocational Service Month of October in the Rotary International calendar, the Rotary Club of Kalibo awarded Mr. Leopoldo Dela Cruz of the Kalibo Auxiliary Police (KAP) in recognition of his honest, dedicated and sincere service being rendered to the public as traffic enforcer assigned in the crossing Kalibo - Banga. 


Rotary International recognizes all useful vocation no matter how lowly but being performed by the person concerned to the best of his ability, honesty, integrity and with fairness and justice. 

In his short remark after the award, Leopoldo Dela Cruz related his experiences as traffic enforcer in the Municipality of Kalibo. According to him, he is doing his job without playing favorites, discrimination, and favoritism. He disclosed those who wish to be treated with respect and special favor are those professionals who harassed him when he enforced compliance to the traffics laws, rules and regulations.

Leopoldo Dela Cruz, 57 years old hails from Roxas City. He married an Aklanon, Amalia Basco. This marriage enabled him to live in Kalibo, Aklan. He has 3 children with Amalia, all boys.

The Rotary Club of Kalibo awarded him Vocational Service Award and P1,000 cash during their club meeting held in Rotary Livelihood and Training Center, Andagao, Kalibo on Tuesday evening, October 9, 2012. /MP
