Meritorious/Outstanding Performances
A native of Numancia, Aklan, FO1 Felinor N. Suco was assigned as Chief Plans and Training Fire Safety Inspector and Fire Truck Operator, from May 2005 November 2005.
He initiated the checking on the fire truck in his fire station. Upon completion, he submitted his report which contained his findings, analysis and recommendations. The fire truck was a second hand, a water tanker converted into a fire truck.
In view of it, Suco recommended for its immediate repair. The recommendations were duly approved. The fire truck was repaired and put into its excellent operating condition. It is now serving the five (5) towns of Numancia, Lezo, Malinao, Madalag and Makato.
On December 28, 2006, there was deep flood. The fire unit responded by using the fire truck for transportation purpose of the community. FO1 Felinor N. Suco spearheaded as driver/operator, with approval from the Chief of Office. The fire truck unit right after the flood operation again broke down due to clutch lining assembly. FO1 Felinor N. Suco again initiated for its repair as approved by the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Numancia.
Moreover, FO1 Felinor N. Suco likewise spearheaded the conduct of Fire Safety Drills, lectures and seminars in different municipalities and schools. These are helping prevent the occurrence of fire incidents in the area.
As Chief Plans and Training and Fire Safety Inspector, Suco strictly implemented Presidential Decree No. 1185 known as the fire Code of the Philippines, thereby increasing the Fire Code Fee collections in five (5) Municipalities under their AOR to more than 77 percent in collection output, which amounted to P23,408.80 in 2005 and P31,322.65 in 2006. This increase of 33.81 percent still increased the year 2007 collection which amounted to P 55,676.98. /MP
