PDEA Needs New Agents

The 2nd Provincial Summit on Peace and Order was held last December 15, 2007 at the Gov. Corazon Cabagnot Memorial Tourism & Training Center, Old Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan. P/Supt. Roybel M. Sanchez was one of the guest speakers. He spoke on the Salients Provisions of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with a power point presentation about their operations and the real situation of drugs infiltration in the Philippines, specifically in the provinces of Cebu, Negros, Roxas City and Iloilo City.
Likewise, he presented the overall results of Law Enforcement Operations such as:
• Dangerous drugs, Controlled Precursors, Essential Chemicals and Laboratory Equipment Seized
• Comparative Statistics
• Foreign Nationals Arrested
• Dismantling of Clandestine Laboratories
In a conversation with P/Supt. Sanchez, he requested MP to include in its newspaper information about the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) which is currently accepting applicants for PDEA Agents. Interested applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:
Filipino Citizen; 21-35 years of age; degree holder; passer of Civil Service Professional exam; holder of PRC License (RA 1080); preferably 5’4” for male and 5’2 for female; with pleasing personality; good moral background; physically and mentally fit; computer literate; commendable communication (oral and written) skills; exuding with self-confidence; with a burning desire to fight the illegal drug problem in the Philippines; willing to undergo training for six (6) months; and must have a Hepatitis B clearance;
A National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Certificate must bring the following documents during the submission of the PDEA application form:
Original Copy of Birth Certificate, original copy of Transcript of Records, Original copy of CSC professional eligibility to include eligibility under RA 1080, and two (2) pcs. passport size ID picture, computer generated is not acceptable.
Applicants may apply personally at a nearest PDEA Regional Office or Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Academy, PDEA Annex Bldg., NIA Northside Road, NGC, Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City. /MP
