Aklan Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Benigno B Durana Jr commended the PNP augmentation personnel for the job well done during the weeklong festivities of Kalibo Señor Sto.Niño Ati-Atihan festival on January 14-20, 2008.
A simple program of Ceremonial Send-Off was given to PNP augmentation from 6th Regional Mobile Group, Antique PPO and Capiz PPO last week at Aklan PPO Camp Grandstand, Camp Pastor Martelino, Kalibo, Aklan.
“Your unselfish sacrifice and dedication to police duties have primarily contributed to the generally peaceful, meaningful, colourful and successful celebration of the festival, which have also gained great respect and lasting gratitude from the Kalibonhons,” Durana said.
During the ceremony, PNP Integrated Transformation Program was also introduced to augmentation Team since Aklan PPO was chosen as the pilot site of the reform program of the Philippine National Police. Three speakers, Police Superintendent Warren Tolito, Project Manager of the Program Management Office (PMO) and Bro. Titus Varona and retired PINSP Elmer Anibigno gave their encouraging spiritual messages. They emphasized the goodness of God on their lives and career as police officers. As a manifestation of gratitude, two (2) pieces of bible were personally handed to each PNP augmentation personnel before sending off to their respective offices/AOR. (PIO-Aklan PPO) /MP
