Atty. Emmanuel C. Fernandez and Dr. Hilda B. Gumogda renewed their love and devotion with each other in a Golden Wedding ceremonies solemnized in Mt. Carmel Parish church, Project 6, Quezon City in the afternoon, Saturday, May 2. After the church ceremonies, Nuel and Hilda entertained their guests in Agave Restaurant, Visayas Ave., Quezon City.
Fernandez hails from Numancia, Aklan, while Gumogda is from Mambusao, Capiz. She is a medical doctor who used to work at Malacañang Clinic, Manila. She resigned from her job to join her husband in foreign assignments as consul, consul general, and ambassador.. Fernandez is a lawyer. He topped the Foreign Service Officer Examination given in 1965 which enabled him to work with the Department of Foreign Affairs. He was consul in Laos, Hongkong, Consul General in Japan, and United States until his retirement. The couple has 3 children. They now reside in Quezon City./MP
