Discovery Shores Boracay Names GM

The soon-to-open luxury resort spa, Discovery Shores in Boracay.

BORACAY - HSAI-Raintree Management Co, president Annabelle Wisniewski has announced the appointment of Jose Parreño as general manager of the soon-to-open luxury resort spa, Discovery Shores in Boracay.
"Parreño’s role in our company is key as he is overseeing the first resort-spa in our growing collection of high-end properties in Manila," Wisniewski stated.
"With more than 15 years of experience, he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about all aspects of the hotel operations. We know he is the ideal person to direct and grow our first resort operations," she added.
As general manager of Boracay’s newest and most prestigious address, Parreño will head the operations of Discovery Shores.
Spread over a vast, gently-sloping beachfront property in Station 1, Discovery Shores’ unique setup and sophisticated approach to hospitality will certainly inspire Parreño’s creativity and know-how.
Parreño has had wide experiences ranging from marketing, operations, staff development and guest services. He worked for the Mandarin Oriental for seven years before joining Pan Pacific.
In 1999, he joined Discovery Suites as director for operations overseeing the functions of the front office, housekeeping, security and food and beverage departments.
He earned his BS Economics from the University of the Philippines, and completed a Management Program from the Asian Institute of Management in 2005. /MP mailto:madyaas_pen@yahoo.com
