Outstanding Interact Club Award


The Rotary Club of Kalibo hauled a tricycle load of awards during the annual District Convention (DISCON) of Rotary International District 3850 held on February 25 – 27 at L’Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City. RI District 3850 is composed of 55 Rotary Clubs in Panay, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi Tawi.

RC Kalibo was awarded one (1) gold medal in Public Relations; four (4) silver medals and five (5) bronze medals.

The silver medals came as Most Outstanding Club President Joel R. Mercurio, Most Outstanding Secretary Raphy Tayco, Rotary Community Corps and Best Club Attendance.

The bronze medals came as Most Outstanding Rotary Club, Outstanding Community Service, Outstanding International Service, Outstanding Club Service, and Outstanding Interact Club.

Past Presidents Vady Marin, Art Carpio, Nick Rebesencio, Lino Diapo, Pening Chan, and Romy Roldan were awarded Loyalty Award.

Moreover, Rotary Club of Kalibo was conferred Certificate of Commendation for providing assistance to district projects like assistance to fire victims. RC Kalibo delegates consisted of 18 officers, members, and spouses. /MP
