On its 5th Regular Session on August 4, 2010, the Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) approved the P81.3 million supplemental budget Gov. Carlito S. Marquez proposed for F.Y. 2010.
The supplemental budget funding source emanates from the P30.3 million share of the provincial government in its Internal Revenue Allotment for FY 2010, the unappropriated balance for salary increases in the 2010, budget of P21.151 million for plantilla positions in the regular general fund, and P29.820 million for EEDD.
Out of the P81.3 million, some P15 million is earmarked for the salary adjustments of regular employees of the provincial government and P29.013 million for employees in the EEDD.
The sum of P2.9 million is intended for salaries of the newly created positions which are likewise approved by SP under Special Ordinance No. 2010-001.
The supplemental budget is approved under Appropriation Ordinance No. 2010-004 which provides 5 percent or P1.5 million from the calamity fund of the province and 20 percent or P6.07 million for additional development fund.
Aklan has a total budget appropriation for 2010 of P949.8 million of which P557.6 million is for the regular general fund and P392.25 million for the operation of the economic enterprises. /MP
