Rotary Club of Kalibo, Aklan Press Club Confers Haresco

EXEMPLARY BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD


The Rotary Club of Kalibo and the Aklan Press Club on Sunday, October 8, 2006, will confer to Teodorico Tumbokon – Haresco, Jr., a scion of the Tumbokon clan from Aklan. Business Leadership Awards for his unsurpassed and legendary contribution to Philippine economic development and other achievements as an Entrepreneur and Business Leader with International Outlook.
These awards will be given in a testimonial dinner jointly organized by the two premier organizations in Aklan in the evening of Sunday, at the Sampaguita Gardens Resort in New Washington, Aklan.
The awards are in two categories: 1) an International Business Leadership Award from the Rotary Club of Kalibo, and 2) a Golden Press Award for Exemplary Business Leadership from the Aklan Press Club.
Tributes for the awardee will be delivered by Aklan senior statesman, former Assemblyman and Presidential Adviser Jose T. Tumbokon and Congressman Joeben T. Miraflores, Past President Niovady M. Marin of the Rotary Club of Kalibo and Fr. Jose Gualberto "Joebert" Villasis, Rector, Sto. NiƱo Seminary.
Haresco is Director for Sales and Business Development for Mabey & Johnson of United Kingdom. who conceptualized the President’s Bridge Program (PBP) as a parallel intervention to the regular government infrastructure programme and a financing package with a favorable concessional rate of interest for PBP’s realization.
His bridge reengineering introduced the prefabricated modular steel bridges which now has gained immersion in Philippine life and opened millions of hectares of land to production, provided fast, cheap and easy transport for goods and services, travel, and brought closer to centers of population rural people otherwise isolated and marginalized by distance from our communities.
Haresco is now duplicating his successful reengineering model in the Philippines in Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Cambodia, Siberia and other parts of Asia, countries within the sphere of his business territory from Mabey & Johnson of United Kingdom.
On his own, Haresco is Chairman and CEO of Winace Holdings Philippines, Inc., a private management company with a unique blend of international and local expertise in a variety of business endeavors. Subsidiary Corporations where he also serves as Chairman of the Board are: Winsource Solutions, Inc., a provider of global business process outsourcing/contact center services; Winace Land Development Company, One White Beach Land Development Corporation, Boracay I-Land Group, Inc., Chaikofi Corporation, Technostrat Corporation and Winace Security Agency.
Ted Haresco is the son of the late Colonel Teodorico Haresco, Sr. and Atty. Razon Tumbokon, a Golden Awardee of UST, Summa Cum Laude, the first Chairman of the Tariff Commission.
He is the nephew of the late Bishop Ciceron Tumbokon, first Filipino to study in the Pontifical University, Rome, Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Soledad T. Consing, University of California, Berkley, Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Mauro Tumbokon, UST, Summa Cum Laude, and Dr. Lolito S. Tumbokon, UST, Cum Laude.
Ted Haresco is a true blooded La Sallian from kindergarten to tertiary education with Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Accounting degrees, with honors.
He pursued higher education and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in International Economics from McGill University of Montreal, Canada.
