The Local Govern-ment of Kalibo was evaluated as a Regional Finalist for the Search for Excellence on Local Governance and entry into the national level awards. The evaluation was held on November 12 in the Municipal Social and Conference room of Kalibo.
Department Heads, Division Chiefs and key officers under the LGU Kalibo were one by one interviewed and evaluated as to functions, operation and performance of the municipality especially in its capacity to give service to the people.
Mayor Raymar Rebaldo led in welcoming the evaluators. He made a 10-minute presentation of Kalibo’s best practices followed by a 10-minute video documentation of a part of the 40th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan.
The regional evaluators were impressed by the performance and service-oriented Department Heads, Division Chiefs and Key Officers. They said, it is "commendable" and even cited the documentation.
The Regional Finalist title is one among the many awards that the local government received including the three awards that Kalibo Mayor received from the League of the Municipalities of the Philippines. /MP
