Patricia Laserna Dalusong, a 20 year old Lasalian, a 4th year AB Economics whose maternal roots are from Roxas City, is this year’s Fiesta Queen 2009. The fiesta is on December 8 which coincides with the weeklong celebration of Sinadya sa Halaran Festival on the first week of December 2009. The news is disclosed by the City Tourism Office recently.
"Triscia" to her family but "Pat" to her college friends, is the eldest in a brood of three. Although she was born and raised in Manila, she is a Kapisnon by heart having spent all of her summer vacations and Christmases with her Lolo Jessie (JESUS Andrada Laserna) and her Lola Erlic (Erlinda Quiachon Laserna) since birth.

She is the first grand child both on the Laserna and Dalusung sides. She had her ample share of affection from Lolo and Lola, Tita Ali, Tito Joey, Tito Dennis, Tita Tin-tin, Tita Mie, and Tito Joeden. Pat greatly values her roots and considers Roxas City as her sanctuary. She speaks Hiligaynon fluently and can speak it better than her mom having learned the dialect from cousins and playmates at her early age.
Pat is very close to her brother Ralph–17, 4th year high school at Ateneo, and hangs out a lot with him. She also dotes on Joshua–9, Grade 3, Ateneo, and can be relied on to tutor him and takes care of him when Dad and Mom are away. Despite her closeness to them, they toe the line for she is also a disciplinarian.
Pat has a creative slant and can make beautiful works of art out of scrap and ordinary materials. She dreams to become an animator one day. But knows she has to take her studies seriously, find a serious job after college so she can freely pursue her love for animation in the future.
Though the Fiesta Queen knows how to have fun with her friends, she knows her limitations and is diligent in her studies. She has a wide circle of friends from St. Theresa’s to DLSU to cousins/playmates in Roxas City. She can be fiercely loyal but stands her ground when she needs to "correct" a friend.
Pat’s parents are Tristan Rivera Dalusang and Madeline Quiachon Laserna with siblings Ralph and Joshua. Her favorite pastime is downloading piano pieces from the net and learning to play them, drawing, sketching, arts and crafts (making bracelets & necklaces from beads), playing computer games, listening to music, watching DVD, and bullying Ralph and Joshua.
Her favorite books are Harry Potter series, American Gods, Golden Compass, Subic Knife, Amber Spyglass, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Alchemist. Neil Caiman, J.K. Rowling, Phil Pullman, Lemony Snicket, and Paulo Coelho are her favorite authors. Her goal in life is to find a lucrative job related to her course and pursue animation on the side. In college, she is occasionally in the Dean’s List. One may greet her on her natal day on February 7. /MP
