Under the leadership of the Aklan Council of Personnel Officers (ACPO), the 110th year Anniversary of the Civil Service in Aklan will be celebrated. This is announced by Ms. Jessica T. Ignacio, PIO of the ACPO.
The preparation for the affair is led by Ms. Prescila Tabay. This will include the holding of a thanksgiving mass on September 14 at St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Kalibo, Aklan. After the holy mass, Special Moments with Special Angels will follow. The ACPO will also conduct gift giving project for the children of the BBC – STAC Kalibo, Aklan. This activity is chaired by Ms. Eleanor Isada – Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO), Kalibo.
On Sept. 15, a “Sagip Buhay” activity will be launched. This is a blood letting job, a joint project with the Philippine Red Cross, Aklan Chapter. PO1 Michel Pontoy and Jessica T. Ignacio – Nabas HRMO will lead this project.
The Civil Service celebration is based on Memorandum Circular No. 14, Series of 2010. The celebration is aimed to underscore the individual importance of the Filipino Civil Servant and the collective significance of the civil service in governance.
The Aklan Council of Personnel Officers are: Jose C. Gervacio – president, Cecil M. Ignacio – vice president, Arlyn. Romaquin, Secretary, Lourdes Retos – Asst. Secretary, Normita F. Tafalla – treasurer, Rowena L. Hungay – Asst. treasurer Ma. Merline Marcelino – auditor, Jessica T. Ignacio – PIO, and Jesus Navarra – business manager.
The members of the Board of Directors are Melody Prado, Emy Fernandez, Cherry Pie Reynaldo, Tomasita Peñano, Estela La’o and Garcinia Leonida. /MP
