Strongest Political Rock In Aklan

The month of August seems to be a decision month. The Civil Service Commission found Mr. Socrates Macoy of the Metro Kalibo Water District (MKWD) innocent of the charges MKWD filed against him led by its General Manager Renato Albar. He is ordered to pay Macoy his back salaries and other benefits.
Barangay captain Gelito was found innocent of the charges filed against him. Judge Niovady M. Marin of Branch 6, Regional Trial Court, Kalibo, Aklan ordered his reinstatement as barangay Captain in Boracay.
Ms. Elenita Fajardo and Zaldy Valerio were found guilty of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition beyond reasonable doubt. Hon. Elmo Del Rosario, presiding judge of Branch 5, Regional Trial Court, Kalibo, Aklan sentenced them 6 years to 12 years imprisonment and to pay P2,000.00 fine.

A wife caught her husband playing with another woman in a hotel room in Kalibo, Aklan. The act is becoming lucrative business in Aklan; it is destroying many families and resulting more hard jobs of the women’s desk in police stations. But the hotel management badly failed to protect the right to privacy of its hotel room occupants. That entry to the hotel room of the ‘wife’ was illegal.

Due to the alleged anomalous garbage disposal contract, Pasay City Mayor Peewee Trinidad his vice mayor and 10 members of the Sangguniang Panglunsod of Pasay City are recommended for a 6 months suspension by the umbudsman.
What many people are saying is becoming true". There is much money in garbage, there are grafts there too.

The oil firms cut their prices by P1.00 per liter this week. Well, that maybe one step backward and in a few days, it will be two steps forward. Moreover, the implementation of price cut is so delayed in the provinces. However, when the prices are increased and announced in the evening, the price increases are reflected in the gas pumps the following morning as we wake up.
In cases of price cut, gas stations delay its implementation for "we have not receive any advice yet." But in price increase, implementation is immediate.
Oil companies pollute and destroy the environment. The latest is in Guimaras where some two million liters of crude oil with the tanker that sank? Petron which owns the crude has kept quiet of what it will do with the victims in Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros provinces. How about those victimized indirectly?

The Commission on Election has trashed the "peoples initiative". I ask, is it really people initiative? Is it by the paid hucksters of the Sigaw Ng Bayan Movement and the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines? Who paid them? The propaganda via the multi-media?
Some of those signatures in the people’s initiative have been dead for many years. Did the deads wake up, stand, and get ball pens to sign their names? What fools are we?

As of this writing, all the Municipal Mayors of 17 towns of Aklan belong to Tibyog. The survivors in the 2004 local elections had pledged allegiance to Tibyog. New Washington Mayor Edmund Peralta, Libacao Mayor Charito Navarosa, Makato Mayor Ramon Legaspi, Jr. and Nabas, Mayor Romeo M. Dalisay are now Tibyog members. It is appearing that the united leadership remains the strongest, solid political rock in Aklan? Can you point to someone who may have the chance to demolish Miraflores, Marquez, Tolentino in the 2007 elections? MP. mailto:madyaas_pen@yahoo.com
