RC Kalibo Hosts Sectional District Seminar

The Rotary Club of Kalibo will host the Sectional District Seminar on Membership, Public Image, Literacy and Rotary Community Corps of R.I. District 3850. This will be held in Sampaguita Gardens Resort, New Washington, Aklan on September 16 – 17, 2006.
Some 200 delegates are expected to attend this seminar who will come from some 25 Rotary Clubs in the Island of Panay, including Guimaras.
Some very important persons in the field of Rotary will be attending the seminar led by the present District Governor RAMON "Toto" CUA LOCSIN of R.I. District 3850. Ms. Lina Aurelio, Director of Rotary International and other Past District Governors are scheduled to attend.
The occasion is one of the very important historical and tourism events in the Province of Aklan. Congressman Joeben Miraflores, Governor Carlito S. Marquez, New Washington Mayor Edmund Peralta and Kalibo Mayor Raymar A. Rebaldo are invited during the seminar. All the topics will be discussed by credible competent resource persons and are relevant to every Aklanons. The seminar will be a great occasion to showcase the various agricultural, fishery, home industries products and tourism spots of our dear province of Aklan.
The officers and members of the host club, Rotary Club of Kalibo are very busy now working on every detail of the program, "leave no stone unturned" to ensure the success of the seminar and make the stay of the participants educational, pleasant, memorable and enjoyable. PP Raphy Tayco, Jr. and his organizing committee members are diligently working on every detail of the program.
Guided tours are being prepared for the participants to be aware of and understand the Aklanon culture and tradition. Visit to Bakhawann Eco Park, Ati Atihan Village, PiƱa weaving center, ASU campus are suggested places to visit.
