DENR: Boracay Is For Sale To Highest Bidder

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Manila is now ready to auction lands in the island resort of Boracay. Is the PGMA government finances so diminishing to the extent that even the well developed lands in the resort island of Boracay are being offered for sale to the highest bidders?
But before any bid is filed, Congressman Florencio T. Miraflores, on September 5, denounced the scheduled public auction as "scaring off would be investors." It will also deprive the present occupants who labored hard to develop the land. If the DENR top officials in Quezon City pursued the planned auction sale, then they would be stripping off the present occupants of those 629 hectares of premium real estate property. The DENR would actually confiscate those lands and award it to the highest bidders via that method of land acquisition, public bidding.
In a privilege speech in the House of Representatives, Miraflores accused the DENR for its "rash pronouncements that prized Boracay lots are now up for grabs, rattling not only Boracay residents but potential investors. Right now, the situation obtaining could be described as the calm before the storm."
According to Miraflores, there are three other ways of disposing alienable and disposable land such as by homestead, lease and free patent. However, DENR is focused only on sales through auction. Can there be much money in auction sale than by the three other modes of land acquisition?
"The DENR pronouncement is now sending the wrong signal and creating uncertainty among Boracay investors who have put on hold some projects and major developments because of this issue," Miraflores pointed out.

Is it a coincidence? Palparan’s retirement date eclipses the September 11 bombing of the Trade Center in New York City. Will the treat of Palparans life come true? If someone who wishes to harm somebody, will he reveal it? Or just do it?
According to a person who claimed to be Jose Agtalon, Palparan had "been judged and will surely face revolutionary justice. He is a war criminal and must be judged as such." /MP mailto:madyaas_pen@yahoo.com
